Founder Story

Hi, I’m Lola, founder of Chocolate and the Chip.
Like a lot of millennials, I turned something I loved into a business during the pandemic. What started as a simple obsession with chocolate chip cookies quickly became wrapped up in hustle culture, long nights, and the pressure to always do more. Somewhere along the way, baking stopped being a break and started feeling like another task.
That changed as I grew, and especially after being diagnosed with PCOS in 2023. I began paying closer attention to how food made me feel and realized I wanted less noise and more intention. Fewer ingredients, more flexibility. Recipes that felt good to make and good to eat.
Chocolate and the Chip was rebuilt from that place.
Our cookie mix is for people who love the idea of baking but don’t want it to feel complicated or performative. It’s for the busy, the burned out, the nostalgic, and the ones craving a small moment of calm. You can bake it the classic way with butter and eggs, or keep it plant-based. Either way, it’s meant to fit into real life.
This mix isn’t about perfection. It’s about slowing down just enough to make something by hand, share it with someone you love, or keep a few dough balls in the freezer for later. A small ritual in a very loud world.
